Join Compassion UK in Uganda for their endurance event.

As Compassion UK approaches 100,000 sponsored children from their UK office, they have now also announced an expansion to the recently launched and curiously named ‘Muskathlon’.

compassion2The Muskathlon will take place in May 2016 and is an endurance event for anyone who wants to get involved, whereby people raise sponsorship by running, cycling or trekking in a foreign country. The 2016 event is set to take place in Uganda where everyday people will have the opportunity to be a partof a once in a lifetime experience to do something quite extraordinary.

“The Muskthlon is an incredible opportunity for everyday people to change the lives of extraordinarychildren in Africa and beyond. People from all over the world are registering for the Ugandan Muskathlon in 2016. We’re excited to be partnering with such a diverse group of people in a challenge to change the world.

“At Compassion, we are passionate about empowering children, to reach their God-given potential. We connect a child living in the vulnerability of poverty with a sponsor [that] we introduce. This sponsorship ensures that each child is fed, educated and given any medical care they need and that they will be known, loved and protected at their local Compassion project. We’re asking anyone who shares this vision to get behind this campaign, dust off their running shoes and register for Muskathlon 2016,” said Rebekah Legg of Compassion UK.

“We know that what we do works; it transforms lives, communities and even nations. We’re always excited to take people to see the work on the ground, to meet the awesome project workers who daily support the children we work with, and, of course, to meet the phenomenal children we support. It’s a life changing experience,” said Compassion UK Director Justin Dowds.
